Day Twenty-Four
Mr. Lim is so kind that he allow us to use his afternoon lesson for dance practice! Although all the dancers know the steps already but we are still not in order so we have to practice more. Within the 3-4 hours of practice we really improved a lot. The more we practice, the more untied we are. Also, we enjoyed dancing it after numerous times. We ended our practice at 5 and continued for choir for another 2 hours before performing. Actually, singing was much easier than dancing because the lyrics are given to us. I am sure everybody knows how to sing our National day song, so we only practice for a few times.
The China students sang ‘Home’, our National Day Theme Song, for the opening ceremony of Cultural Night! We all sing along with them as if it was our performance. The next performance is our dance. Everybody is so nervous and excited before our dance but we feel so relieve and satisfied after the dance. To me, we really put in our best to enjoy the dance and had done an excellent job. Our students really put in lots of effort in today’s event because we had about 6 performances. 2 of it were with the china students. Tonight is really an entertaining night with awesome performances, I really enjoy it. After the event, our group went out to the village for tung yuan. We always ate it for supper. The Tung Yuan was really delicious and totally different from our cooking style. They add ‘Mi Jiu’ into the soup which is a fantastic compo! Next time I shall ask my mother to try cooking it with ‘Mi jiu’.
