Day Nine
We had a visit to the Volkswagen Automotive company for a tour. The factory is huge with all high-tech automated machines and welding equipment we used in practical. It may look easy to operate and weld but actually it is difficult. Although our practical is easy because we just need to weld a straight line but it took 4 hours to learn it. The straight line is hard to control and the welding torch is rather heavy.
Other than visiting the cars company, we went to Gu Cheng Street to shop. If I am not wrong, that place is one of the tourist attraction Street in Sichuan. J I see many people trying the traditional costumes represent different characters such as princess, emperor, soldier and etc. It looks interesting and I am so interested in trying the costumes but seems like none of them are interested. It’s quite awkward to wear the costume alone I think. The street do also sell insects such as scorpion, beetles, caterpillars and cockroaches. I take up all my courage to eat one of the cockroach and it is tasty. Although it is scary but it taste better than we expected. We had our lunch outside with the local students. This is the first time I tried rabbit meat. I know it’s kind of inhumane but it taste normal and quite nice, better than eating dog meat. I had tried 2 new food in one day and both amazed me with great taste!
