Day Fifteen
We have lesson in the morning and cultural visits to Sanxingdui in the afternoon. We finished chapter 3 of Strength of Materials yesterday which common test covers until. Before we head to Sanxingdui we had our linch first. We, 43 students, are so cute! Everybody squeeze into a mini public bus outside the school to Sanxingdui. We all know that Sanxingdui is one of the tourist attraction area, thus the entrance fee is more expensive for foreigners. However, we can use our student pass to impose as the local so that we can pay much cheaper. In order to do that, everybody have to speak Mandarin. We thought that we are supposed to visit the museum but end up we are flying kite! Lin Lao Shi says we fly kite first before entering the museum. This is the first time I, or maybe everybody, fly kite in a museum. It is rather amazing to do so because Singapore's museum does not have such a huge open space area for us o fly kite. Also, there is 10 other English teachers follow us there. They also join us in flying kite. However, the wind comes from all direction which makes us even harder to fly our kites up. 30 minutes had passed but not a single kite been fly up yet.
The artifacts in the museum had been present since 3000 years ago. If I am not wrong, it was created during the Shu dynasty or Shu state. Everything look so ancient and cool. Sanxingdui is also the start of the silk road in china. China's history is so amazing and cool because we see things from dramas that we thought they never exist but it actually exist. Although history is quite boring but by viewing those ancient pots and weapons will enlighten me and makes me more interested in it.
