Day Eighteen and Nineteen

Wake up early in the morning to continue to pack our bags. Depart from the school at about 8.15am to Leshan and it takes about 2 hour to reach Leshan. The Giant Buddha that we are going to view had a history of about 1300 years since 713AC. We took a boat tour to view the Giant Buddha because it is facing the river. We were divided into 2 different boat because our people is too huge for one. My roommate and I took lots of photos with the Giant Buddha. The both of us really look like couple. Also, there is a man from Guangzhou says that the Giant Buddha is actually located at the hear of the sleeping Buddha. From some angle you can really see the sleeping Buddha image but not everyone can visualize it. After the tour, we spend some time buying souvenirs before heading to the hotel which was located near Mount Ermei. Although the hotel is rated as 3 star but their facilities is not bad as we expected from. Melissa and I really look like a couple now because we are given the queen size bed's room. The bathrooms walls are made of glass! We can watch each other bathing but no! The ambiance was not bad for couples but Orchard hotel is still better I think. After unpacking our stuffs we decided to go out for a walk instead of staying in the hotel.
We are given about 90 minutes to shop around the area along the hotel before having dinner. Most of them want to buy tea leaves back for their family members but there are so many tea shops to choose from. Luckily Miss Lin helps us to check other shops and also bargain the price for us. Finally after walking into so many shops, I managed to buy some tea leaves as souvenir for my relatives and family. I hope the amount i bought is enough to give to everybody. After dinner, some of them went to watch the face changing show while the others went to either hot spring or massage. My cliques and I went to the face changing show. It was really impressive and there is other performance such as skit regarding Sichuan La Mei Zi (Hot wife). Sichuan is famous for spicy food, thus they called the ladies here 'La Mei Zi' (Spicy girl). From the skit, they are trying to express how ladies in Sichuan teach their husband. This is really a worth watching show because there are almost 9-12 different performances including face changing, male and females gymnastic, martial arts, skits and dances. After watching the show we planned to go for a massage but it is too expensive. Wu Kai says that Guanghan is much cheaper so we decided not to go. Tonight must have a good rest because we need to wake up at 5am in the morning for breakfast. We also heard that tomorrow will be a tiring day because we need to climb up to the peak of Mount Ermei, so we need enough rest.

Day two of Mount Ermei.
Had breakfast at 530am, the bus leaving at about 6.10am. We are late for the sunrise because there are sill people in their room when it is already 6.10am. Where is their sense of urgency? 40 over students are waiting for them to set off to Mount Ermei. Not really blaming them but unsatisfied because we missed the sunrise in Mount Ermei which was one of the most beautiful scenery there.
The whole trip was delayed further because there are some technical issues at the Ermei entrance. Maybe we are just unlucky because we have to cancel the second part of our program today. We still need to take a 2 hours bus ride up to Mount Ermei before we start our hiking. Our class is split into 2 buses once again. On our way up, we passed by many hills and mountains. I can really differentiate Mount Ermei and the other mountains because it is partially covers with snow! It makes me really excited when I saw that because this is the first time I see snow! I was thinking if we can throw snow at each other later on. I hope we can since it is also the first time for most them to see snow!
Due to the wet and slippery floor, the tour guide strongly advise us to but the straw sandals. Bamboo sticks are quite important because it helps to guide our way up and can scare the monkeys away. The hiking part was quite tough and tiring but I am willing to do so for the sake of beautiful and angelic scenery up there. We then took the cable car up to the next station. I am one step nearer to see the sea of clouds below me! There is a Buddha riding on the elephant, I totally forget its name. I only remember 'Puxian' but I don't think that is it. In total, we visited 2 temples. Whenever I pass by temples, I will pray and show respect no matter what.
There is martial art school in Mount Ermei which teaches Ermei sect kungfu. I am so interested in the Ermei sect because I only get to see them on television. So sad that we are not going to visit or even pass by the school. Ermei sect kungfu is not only for female but for everybody! I always thought that it is only for females but I was wrong! That only applies to the past and in dramas. After going to Mount Ermei, I realize that there are actually many deities in Mount Ermei. Maybe I should bring my family here next time but I am afraid they will be too old to climb up the hill by then.
